This National Historic Landmark was build by railroad magnate, James J Hill. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reviewed the house just before it was completed in 1891, writing:

From suits of armour to beer mugs to a wonderful collection of games, Lori’s inviting venue provides a welcoming venue for everyone. For those who prefer a different beverage, she has a collection of non-alcohlic choices. Anna & I were intrigued with whipped cream on our beer – very tasty!
